Christmas Break

Well, Wednesday December 19th was the last Playgroup session for 2012. It was a hot and sticky one and everyong a little tired with the lead up to Christmas (the children still had lots of energy!!!!)

2013 will be a big year for some of our playgroup members, with PreSchool starting.... So we will start up again in 2013 when the new kinder kids have got into their routine and the Mums have a chance to take a breath after the Christmas/New Year period.

Next Session: Friday November 30 - At the Playground

Our next playgroup session is on:

FRIDAY NOVEMBER 30, 2012

10am - 11.30am

@ the Longwood Community Centre PLAYGROUND

The Community Centre will be in use for the day, so we will utilise the playground and pergola area. Actually - with all these sunny days, all our recent sessions have been at the playground. The kids have been loving being outside and running around.

Yesterday's session saw lots of free play and imagination. We created Flowers/streamers/Magic Wands on sticks and had fun with some balls and the playground.

Next couple of sessions could have a Christmas Theme with Christmas on the horizon.

Hope to see everyone on November 30.

All new members welcome - no commitment and come anytime between 10am and around 11.30ish (depends on whether kids get tired or they want to keep playing).

Next Session on Tuesday November 20 - at 10am

The next Longwood Playgroup Session will run on TUESDAY November 20th from 10am - 11.30am (NOTE - NEW START TIME 10AM).

Held at the Longwood Community Centre, Longwood Victoria. $2 per family. BYO healthy snack. Everyone welcome.

This nice sunny weather has meant the past two Playgroup Sessions have been run outdoors, at the Playground at the Longwood Community Centre (although the wind kicks up every Friday!!!) Today we enjoyed: playing in the sunshine; painting with our little buckets filled with water; kicking balls; Tea Parties; making a Duck Puppet; some duck singing; and lots of free play and imagination. Great to see the group of children enjoying each others company.
